In 2012 a team from the
International Extremity Project
(IEP) visited Namibia followed by another team in 2016. On this visit, the IEP
worked closely with the Ministry of Health and Social Services and the
University of Namibia Medical School to correct deformities in people who were limited in walking. Dr
Bruce Leonard (founder of IEP) and Dr Stanley Kanyemba who headed the Namibian
team are interviewed on NBC.
IEP team on NBC
With
another successful Namibian mission completed, the NBC had a look at the work
done by the
International
Extremity Project
(IEP) while they were here and how the United Africa Group helped the organisation operate on
43 patients from around the country.
Our Medical Mission for a better future
In this beautiful film titled “Healing
Hands” we look at the foundation’s work to provide medical assistance to underprivileged
communities in partnership with the
International Extremity Project (IEP). We also find out more about the work they do from
Dr Martha Namundjebo-Tilahun and members of IEP.
